Professor Richard Palmer

Professor Richard PalmerProfessor Richard Michael Palmer qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital, London in 1975, gained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 1979 and a PhD in Oral Pathology in 1984. He is the Head of Restorative Dentistry and Professor of Implant Dentistry and Periodontology at King’s College London Dental Institute at the Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’Hospitals, London, UK.

He has published and lectured widely, and is actively involved in the Specialist training programmes in Periodontics and the MSc programme in Implant Dentistry. He has been President of the British Society of Periodontology, is an elected member of the executive of the European Federation of Periodontology and is a member of the editorial boards of Journal of Clinical Periodontology , Dental Update, Oral Diseases and Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research.
